"I Told Him That Stealing Is Wrong And A Sin"
A 5 years old child came up to me and said, "uncle how can I get money when I'm bigger?" I was surprised and wondered why he wanted some money for himself. I know if I don't answer him he would go somewhere else for answers; that somewhere else could be a wrong source. So I answered him the simplest way I can.
"There are 4 ways to make money:
Earning it,
Inheriting it,
By been gifted or
By stealing it."
Then he asked "which is the easiest?" and I laughed and told him it's by inheriting it, but he needs to pray his parents make enough and also pray they don't give birth to more than two kids.
He went ahead and said "I heard stealing is wrong." I told him that is true. Stealing is wrong and a sin, because you are taking something that doesn't belong to you. That's why you shouldn't steal. It's a lot of hard work and dangerous because when you get caught, you end up in jail or get killed. So it's better you work hard to earn your own money just like upright people in the society do. And finally the chances of people gifting you money is low, so that actually isn't an option.
Then he asked the hard question, "how do I earn money?" I said, "by working for it" and walked away.
One child can't coman put me in a tight corner.
