A Bitter Experience




I was so curious about getting a job asides schooling,blogging and my regular skill acquisition program.

I went to submit my CV on the island at a friend's place of work,I waited for her so we could go for a vigil from there.
So moving on to the next morning after the vigil, we contacted an Uber driver and he said he wasn't going anywhere close to the mainland then, I told my friend about getting a road side cab which she adhered too. After having a conversation with the Cabman, he then agreed to take us to our destination. He pleaded with us that he wanted to pick his brother from the next bus stop because he's also going to the mainland. We were stressed that day and he pleaded that his brother won't disturb us at the back seat. We didn't say anything we got to the next bus stop, his brother hopped in, he looked like a kidnapper from Nollywood ( lol don't mind me) I told my friend twice but I didn't take it serious. After driving for about 4mins he suddenly increased the volume of the song he was listening to and he turned it down then said *do you know we just saved your life* I didn't really understand what he said. I asked what he meant and his supposed brother changed the way he spoke earlier when we exchanged pleasantries at the time his brother picked him at the bus stop. I really can't explain everything that happened but they stole our phones,money,gold necklaces, ATM cards and they left 1000# in my bag out of the money they took and also left #900 in my friends bag.

I was admitted at the hospital the following week but all praises to God because all that was stolen were valuables. I am still asking myself so many questions like *what if they've killed us? Because I remember he said they saved our lives and what if they were kidnappers? All sort of things kept on creeping through my mind. I am grateful to God for his love and protection over me and my friend.

Now, I hope you understand why I haven't been online? I am really sorry this time around I am here to stay. Y'all mean alot to me, your support and your words of encouragement.
